If you read our previous article about Traxxas Slash 4×4 ultimate (that we reviewed before) and the traxxas slash 4×4 bl-2s that we are reviewing today, you’ll see no difference at all on the look of these two RC cars because they are the same.
This Truck also comes in two different colors: red and green, and the body no longer needs clamps for the body to bind.
Instead, the clamps at the bottom of the installation are attached to the panels at the top of the body.
This makes it easy to remove the body simply by moving your hand inside the wheel well and opening the knuckles.
The new color of the wheel is the chic, gray color that completes the body, which gives the truck a modern and elegant look.
The tires wrapped around the wheels also contain some updates. While they’re the tires with the specifications we’ve seen before from Traxas slash 2WD, the depth of the tide looks deeper and the rubber compound looks smoother.

The most important feature of the Traxxas BL-2S is that it comes with plastic parts.
From the starter’s point of view, that would be quite appropriate, because you’d have plenty of opportunities to add whatever part you want.
On the other hand, that’s going to make your RC break down several times. So, you’ll have to replace these parts anyway.
In addition, the long-base Slash structure promotes high-speed stabilization wheels, including drainage holes and pods for the installation of optional upgrades such as Velineon 3s.
On the other hand, the Traxxas Slash 2WD enjoys a very smooth suspension system that easily absorbs gloves and rough terrain. And that’s because of the oil-filled shocks.

The truck now comes with the Max Duty drive shafts, which are thicker than the previous version. The stub axles connecting the drive shafts to the wheels are also thicker, with a six-millimeter thickness.
The truck now features cast metal 12-millimeter hexes, providing a more secure connection between the wheels and the truck. These upgrades contribute to a more robust drivetrain that can handle increased power.

Traxxas Slash 4×4 B2s Upgrade
To enhance the performance of the Traxxas Slash 4×4 B2s , a few upgrades are recommended. Adding a clear body shell and numbering it with white squares are popular customization options.
Upgrading to a VXL motor and installing new tires specifically designed for the Slash can further enhance the car’s speed and handling.
Additionally, incorporating a TSM (Traxxas Stability Management) system can improve stability, especially without it. The metal links should be replaced when they break, as they are often the weakest point in the car’s construction.

What I Don’t Like About It Traxxas BL-2S
Despite being so popular and having a lot of great features, Traxxas Slash still has some cons that no one loves. It is the stock parts!
The problem with most Traxxas RC cars is that they come in plastic built-in parts that can be broken easily. Especially if you love aggressive driving and jumping or if you’re a beginner and you don’t know yet how to fully control the vehicle!
Additionally, the receiver box does not have a quick access hole, requiring the entire cap to be removed for any adjustments or repairs. Another concern is the large opening in the front of the car, which leaves the plastic drive shaft vulnerable to damage from dirt and debris.
While this may have been necessary to accommodate the steering system, a thin cover would have been beneficial for protection.
On a more positive note, the Traxxas Slash 4×4 B2s features a receiver box placement towards the middle of the chassis, providing more room for other components.
The sway bars and bumpers contribute to the car’s stability, making it less prone to flipping over.
However, the links may be a weak point and should be upgraded to metal links for increased durability.
