If you’ve seen a complete review of the XRT, you’ll notice that this RC car is even wider than the X-Maxx and taller than the Maxx, making it the second-largest Traxxas RC car, just behind the X-Maxx.
The ground clearance of the XRT is 1.93 inches, compared to 2.9 inches for the E-Revo. While the difference is only about a millimeter, it can have a noticeable impact at high speeds.
In addition to being larger overall, the XRT is also longer. The XRT measures 31.41 inches in length and 10.15 inches in height, whereas the E-Revo is only 23.05 inches long and 8.7 inches tall.

Traxxas XRT vs. E-Revo Electronics Layout
The electronic layout of the Traxxas XRT and E-Revo differs significantly. The XRT features a more organized setup, with dual battery compartments positioned on either side of the chassis, while the motor, ESC, and servo are centrally located.

Thanks to their low-ground-clearance chassis, wide suspension, and sturdy wheels, both the XRT and E-Revo can tackle almost anything without much trouble. But since this is a comparison, we need to pick a winner.
The XRT has demonstrated exceptional handling capabilities. It’s notably difficult to flip over, especially with the WideMaxx suspension system in place.
That said, some users feel that the servo could be better, as it uses the same one found in older Traxxas models. While it performs well, its longevity is questionable.
One drawback with the XRT’s handling is its unpredictability during jumps. You can’t always anticipate how high it will jump or how it will land, making it trickier to control in the air.
On the other hand, the Traxxas E-Revo also features a wide chassis and offers outstanding handling. Despite its immense power and speed, it’s surprisingly easy to control. Its handling during jumps is more predictable, allowing you to effortlessly maneuver and enjoy your off-road adventures.
The E-Revo has even two servos instead of one which is not available on the XRT! This means more steering power in your pocket!
The problem though is the fact that this RC car isn’t as powerful in corners as the XRT.

Traxxas XRT VS E-Revo Transmitter and Receiver
The transmitter and receiver are essential components for any RC car, as they enable you to control the vehicle. Without them, your RC car wouldn’t be able to respond to your commands.
Luckily, both the Traxxas XRT and E-Revo come equipped with the same transmitter: the TQi™ 2.4GHz High Output Radio System.
